Ambedkar is a profound scholar, thinker, writer, leader, a brilliant intellectual, an eminent lawyer, a constitutional expert, an able and efficient administrator, a gifted orator, an effective Parliamentarian, a great educationist, a pragmatist, a rationalist, a great patriot, a dedicated democrat, a daring social reformer, an indefatigable fighter, great politician and party maker, great editor, eminent professor, a champion of the down trodden masses, and great social, economic and political reformer. He was a member of Constituent assembly, Chairman of Constitution Drafting committee and Minister of Law in the Congress Government headed by Jawaharlal Nehru. But he resigned from the Congress party because of the disillusionment he had with the Congress party. In this paper an attempt has been made to examine the reasons for disagreement with the Congress party under the headings Indian National Congress Origin of Indian National Congress, The Growth of the Congress Party and Dr. B.R.
