Online published on 2 April, 2019. Abstract Brick kilns of India are second largest brick producer in the world after China. The brick kilns are one of the largest employment generating industries employed million of people in a year. The workers of brick kiln are always under the heavy work pressure to work more efficiently for more production with limited resources. The situation becomes worse by physical discomforts at the workplace. Manufacturing of brick is a labour extensive work using labours as a major workforce in India. It involved the study of workers aged 20–50 years. The total 250 brick kiln workers are engaged in different activities of brick kilns. The study identified that work related physical discomforts of brick kiln workers of Prayaraj (Allahabad). The WMSDs, problems and perceived body discomforts faced by the brick kiln workers were determined by administering of Standardized Nordic Questionnaire. The study find that presence of poor physical environment, working conditions and practices were contributed to musculoskeletal injuries and problems exposing brick kiln workers to risks and hazards.
