Attitude towards mobile learning in relation to academic performance of pre-teachers

Abstract

The ultimate objective of this study is to find out the attitude towards mobile learning in relation to academic performance of pre-teachers with respect to gender, locality and Stream. The survey method was adopted to collect the pertinent data for the present study. The tool teacher's mobile learning attitude scale (TMLAS-PPKS) 2016, Developed and standardized by P. Pachaiyappan & S. Raja kumar and it was used to collect data for this study. The Researcher randomly selected 182 pre-teachers studying B. Ed. in Colleges of Education in and around Madurai District of Tamilnadu. For analyzing the data percentage, mean, standard deviation, 't'-test and correlation are used. The results found that most of the pre-teachers have a moderate level of attitude towards Mobile learning. With regard to gender, the female preteachers have higher mobile learning attitude when compare the male pre-teachers. The steam of pre-teachers there is no significant difference between arts and science pre-teachers. With regard to residential area, the urban pre-teachers have higher mobile learning attitude when compare the rural pre-teachers. The results found that mobile learning attitude moderately influenced the academic performance.
