Abstract Organizations provide all needed resources, infrastructure and even develop skills of their employees which enable employees to accomplish goals and objectives of their organizational mission. In a reciprocal way employee should share the vision of their organization and committed themselves to its mission and goals. Educational organizations such as schools require individuals who are committed to their profession for well-being of students as well as the institution itself. There is a need to pay more attention towards the expectations and needs of the staff. This study was attempted to focus, compare and relate the influencing factors of Organizational Commitment among private rural School teachers. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. A sample size of 323 was collected using Organizational commitment (OCI) instrument by C. Balaji. The present study concludes that majority (40.9%) of the respondents have moderate level of Organisational commitment and significant difference was observed between length of service and their commitment levels.
