Morphological features of Guava (Psidium Gujava L.) genotypes.

Abstract

Present investigation was under taken with seventeen guava genotypes viz. L1G6, L1G7, L2G6, L2G8, L3G8, L4G7, L4G8, L5G7, L5G8, L6G2, L6G7, L7G8, L8G6, L8G7, L8G8, Sardar and Lalit during 2016-17 to 2017-18. The morphological characters such as height and spread of the tree, number of fruit per tree, length, diameter, and weight of the fruits as well as yield of fruits per tree were recorded. Maximum height of the tree, tree spread, number of fruits and fruit length was observed in genotype L7G8, tree spread in L4G8 (E-W) and L6G7 (N-S),whereas diameter and fruit weight in the genotype Sardar.
