Abstract Feeding experiment was undertaken to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation of unicellular green algae, Chlorella on growth and development of a fish, Rohu (Labeo rohita Valenciennes, 1842). The fishes were fed with experimental diet containing dried Chlorella. The growth parameters, in the form of final weight (FW), weight gain (WG), percentage of weight gain (WG %), daily growth rate (DGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) significantly increased due to the incorporation of Chlorella in the fish feed.
