Inhibition of Hydrolytic enzymes of colletotrichum capsici by propiconazole and pgpr strains Raj Chandramani, Hubballi Manjunath, Prabhuling R. B, Daliyamol, Akkeeran S., Chandrasekar G. Department of Plant Pathology, Centre for Plant Protection Studies, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore -641 003 Online published on 28 February, 2013. Abstract Propiconazole alone or in combination with Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis were tested for their inhibitory action on the production of hydrolytic enzymes by Colletotrichum capsici responsible for anthracnose in chilli. Propicoanzole (0.1%) inhibited production of cellulase and pectinase. Among biocontrol agents P. fluorescens was found to be efficient. However, the combination of propiconazole with P. fluorescens showed similar results as reflected by propiconazole alone. Top Keywords Propiconazole, bacterial biocontrol agents, hydrolytic enzymes, Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR). Top | |
