Abstract

Seeds pelleted with carbendazim (2 g/kg) recorded maximum germination (81.50%), root length (3.39 cm), shoot length (2.60 cm), seedling length (5.99 cm), vigour index (453), dry matter production (39.16 mg), dehydrogenase activity (0.401 OD), speed of germination (19.48) with lower moisture content (5.90) and EC values (0.405 dSm−1) followed by seeds pelleted with carbendazim (2 g/kg) + CaOCl2 (3 g/kg). The seed quality parameters were significantly lower in the un-pelleted seeds.
