Effect of Sulphur and Fym on Yield and Nutrients Uptake by Garlic (Allium Sativum L.) in an Alluvial Soil Singh Harendra1, Singh Manoj Kumar2, Singh K.V.2 1Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Amar Singh College, Lakhaoti, Bulandshahr (U.P.)-24S 007. 2Deptt. of Horticulture, S. VB.P.U.A.& T., Meerut. Abstract The results revealed that each successive increase in level of S upto 40 kg ha−1 significantly increased bulb yield and uptake of nutrients by the crop during both the years. Likewise, the application of FYM @ 20 t ha−1 also increased the bulb yield significantly with increased uptake to N, P and K nutrients. The Sand FYM application showed synergistic interaction effect on the uptake of S and ultimately on the bulb yield of garlic. Maximum bulb yield was obtained in the treatment where S was applied @ 40 kg ha−1 with 20 t FYM ha−1. Top Key words Sulphur, FYM, nutrient uptake, yield, garlic. Top | |
