Abstract The provides a platform to understand the performance of KSRTC Bus-Services in the road transportation of the Shivamogga District, awareness level, usage of new innovative services and other infrastructural developments in the city to improve the transportation and its beneficial impact on the financial System. It highlights the current weakness of the existing development in the area selected for the study. The study focuses on the KSRTC buses, with the help of a structured schedule for the general public and personal interviews with the passengers and the employees -employers of the KSRTC in Shivamogga District. The analysis is made thereafter. The analysis and interpretation was made by using suitable statistical tools and techniques in order to arrive at a authenticate information about the KSRTC services and its efficiency in the performance of new emerging services and innovations in the present scenario. It concentrates on the new emerging challenges in infrastructural development and its opportunities, issues and policies in KSRTC services and upgrade technical know-how in the road transportation with special reference to Shivamogga District to provide maximum benefits to the general public. Finally it makes an attempt to offer few suggestions to enhance its performance and to provide maximum benefits to cope up with the existing challenges in the wake of severe competition.
