Investigation the impacts of ICT on the job alienation of employees (Case study in wood industry company of Mazandaran)

Abstract

ICT is not only an important aspect of national development is also a survival factor in today's competitive world. The challenge for today's scientific and technological organizations are faced with is how to avoid the negative consequences of this phenomenon on the organizations employees. One of the consequences, self-alienation, which it considered a case in which his party is a stranger, feels alienated. It does not consider itself the center of the universe and its creator is not applied. But he that governs the actions and consequences of obedience or even praises it. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of ICT on the Job alienation. This research is based on Charles (1992), Dimensions of alienation, including futility, Powerlessness, self-loathing, social isolation, anomie, were discussed and the impact of ICT on them was measured. Data from two questionnaires, each of which consists of 60 questions divided into five Likert spectrum confirmed the validity and reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.82) the data were analyzed using spss software. Results showed that ICT has an impact on all aspects of alienation. Managers of various organizations, especially Mazandaran Wood and Paper industry executives, the conditions necessary for it to do anything less.
