Among the various treatments tested, NSKE (5%) was most effective in reducing the pest populations. The commercial formulations did not show any definite trend in reducing the sesamum pests. However, the most effective neem based commercial formulation in respect of Bihar hairy caterpilar, leaf webber and capsule borer and sesamum hawk moth was the nimbecidine but in case of sesamum gall fly, neemta-2100 was found most effective.
