Biological Control of Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc, the Incitant of Cauliflower Collar Rot Prasad C.S., Gupta Vishal, Tyagi Ashish, Pathak Santosh Bio-Conlrol Laboratory, Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel Univ. of Agri & Tech, Modipuram, Meerut, 250110, India Abstract Efficacy of isolates of Tnchodermu spp in suppressing the growth of Sclerotium rolfsu. the cauliflower collar rot pathogen was tested by dual culture technique and the effect of four botanicals viz., Eucalyptus leaf, neem leaf (dried), achook-0.3% (azadiradione, nimbocinol and apinimbocinol) and neem dust 1, 2 and 3% were tested on growth of Trichoderma harztanum by poisoned food technique. T harztatnum (44.1%) isolate was found superior than the T. viride (39.1%) isolate in reducing the colony diameter of Sclerotium rolfsu. Among the botanicals tested, achook significantly inhibited the growth of T harzianum, neem dust, Eucalyptus and neem leaf extracts could be used in combination with T harztanum in IDM of selected pathogen.
