Abstract Non-chemical IPM and INM technologies (organic) along with IPM farm trials carried out on onion in Karnal, Haryana during 2015–16 and 2016–17 in a farmers’ involving approach revealed lower yields (185.5 & 308 q/ha) and so the lower CBR (1: 0.98 & 1: 1.97) in non-chemical (organic) trial than IPM-yield (270 & 375 q/ha); CBR (1: 1.78 & 1: 3.18) and Farmers’ Practices-yield (255 & 355 q/ha); CBR (1: 1.65 & 1: 2.92), but yielded clean/quality produce as reflected by reduced pesticide use.
