The fungus exhibited variability with respect to cultural and morphological characters comprises growth, colony colour, sporulation, pigmentation, size and shape of conidia. Pathogenic variability studied among five isolates of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides on susceptible cultivar of mango was also done. Efficacy of seven fungicides on mycelial growth of C. gloeosporioides was evaluated in vitro. Among them, Both Hexaconazole 5 SC and Tebuconazole 25 EC completely inhibited the mycelial growth with 100% inhibition at all the four concentrations (100, 250, 500 and 750 ppm). Among all the phytoextracts, Garlic clove was spotted most effective at all the three concentrations (5.0, 10.0 and 15.0%) with 100% inhibition in mycelial growth.
