Abstract

The field evaluation of Fosetyl AL 80% WP, Fluopyram- Trifloxystrobin, Azoxystrobin 11% + Tebuconazole 18.3%, Trifloxystorbin 50WG, Fluropyram 50WG, Metalaxyl 35% WS and Trichoderma viride were evaluated for the management of late blight during 2019–2020 and 2020–2021. The result showed with the aim of Trifloxystorbin 50WG (one foliar application before disease appearance and two sprays at 7 days interval) showed less terminal disease severity (28.67%) with highest disease control (69.87%) which was at statistically at par with treatment was Azoxystrobin 11% + Tebuconazole 18.3% (one foliar application before disease appearance and two sprays at 7 days interval) with (29.67%) terminal disease severity along with disease control (69.49%) followed by Fosetyl AL 80% WP (one foliar application before disease appearance and two sprays at 7 days interval) with (29.70%) terminal disease severity and disease control (69.57%). The highest tuber yield 32.19 q/ha was observed with Trifloxystorbin 50WG (one foliar application before disease appearance and two sprays at 7 days interval) followed by 29.72 q/ha with Azoxystrobin 11% + Tebuconazole 18.3% (one foliar application before disease appearance and two sprays at 7 days interval). The correlation between weather parameters and Phytophthora infestans revealed highly negatively significant of minimum temperature (−0.972) and maximum temperature (−0.847), respectively. The yield of both the treatment was statistically at par to rest of the treatment. Trifloxystorbin 50WG (one foliar application before disease appearance and two sprays at 7 days interval) gave better results for management of late blight of potato in foot hills of Arunachal Pradesh.
