Abstract A comparison of gingivoplasty carried out with electrosurgery and that by rotatory diamond stones at ultra speed in the designated sites on selected patients was carried out. It was evaluated using parameters such as ease of performing, amount of bleeding during surgery, post-operative pain and post-operative healing. It was concluded that rotary diamond stones at ultra speed is decidedly a better procedure than electro-surgery in performing gingivoplasty.
