Abstract

The principal goal of endodontic implant is to improve the crown-mot ratio of teeth with compromised root length. In teeth with extremely wide canals custom made endodontic implants are indicated. Ceramic being the most biocompatible can be used as coating over custom cast cobalt chromium implant material. In this case report cobalt chromium implant with ceramic coating extending about 3mm in the bone was used to improve the root crown ratio of fractured maxillary central incisor with significantly resorbed root. After follow up period of 3 years complete absence of periapical lesion and successful osseointegration was observed with the implant. However, long term studies are required to know the success of such treatments.
