Online published on 25 November, 2013. Abstract Oral health is an important aspect of health for all children, more so for children with special health care needs. The oral health of children who are disabled is disadvantaged, since they are often unable to adequately apply the techniques necessary to control plaque. Dental caries is the most prevalent disease worldwide and dental treatment is the greatest unmet health need in these special children. The study has been conducted to check the prevalence of dental caries among children with special health care needs in Ludhiana and Faridkot districts of Punjab.
