Methods A descriptive cross-sectional was done and a sample of 144 subjects aged 60 years and above were examined (91-males and 53-females). WHO Oral Health Assessment Form 1997 was used to record the clinical parameters. Statistical analysis was performed using chi-square test and multiple step-wise linear regression analysis and p value ≤ 0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Results Around half of the subjects had prosthesis and the prevalence of fixed prosthesis was still rarely seen. Most of the people require prosthesis and it differed significantly according to different parameters. Similarly step-wise multiple linear regression analysis showed significant association with all variables. Conclusion Prevalence of prosthetic status of people living in geriatric Institution is very poor and there is need for prosthetic services among them.
