Online published on 15 May, 2014. Abstract Commissural lip pits are epithelial lined small pits or openings of 1–8 mm depth, found in the commissure of the mouth unilaterally or bilaterally. These pits may communicate with parotid duct and be a channel for infection. Therefore, routine oral examination of such pits is mandatory.
