Abstract Aims and Objectives This survey was undertaken to find out the current methods used by dentists of Meerut district to select artificial anterior teeth for complete dentures. Materials and Methods A questionnaire was prepared and distributed among 122 dentists of Meerut district. The dentists were asked to circle the methods which he or she uses for selection of anterior teeth during the fabrication of complete denture. The data was collected and statistically analyzed. Results Out of the 110 dentists who responded 58.1% used face form, 21.8% used patient's preference, 10.9% used pre-extraction records, 4.7% used previous dentures and 2.7% used shape of maxillary arch form for selecting form of anterior teeth. For selection of shade 62.7% used patient's complexion, 21.8% used patient's preference, 9.2% used pre-extraction records, and 5.1% used previous denture respectively. Conclusion It was found that face form was the most commonly used method for selection of artificial tooth form whereas, patient's complexion was most commonly used for selection of shade.
