Online published on 18 May, 2016. Abstract The loss of an eye makes a person a severe handicap as one of his most important sensory organ is lost. The severity of the defect determines the nature of the prosthesis to be given to the patient ie whether an ocular prosthesis is required or an orbital prosthesis is required. The replacement of this defect with a prosthesis leads to aesthetic enhancement of the face. However it does not fulfill the functional requirements. This case report presents the management of a patient with an enbloc removal of an eye due to carcinoma. Top Keywords orbital defect, eye prosthesis. Top |
