Abstract

This article reports the orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning carried out in a 15 year and 3 month-old male patient with esthetic and functional complaints. He presented withan Angle Class I malocclusion, anterior cross bite and overlapping of central and lateral incisor in maxillary arch, in addition to a severly convex facial profile. Orthodontic treatment with first premolar extractions was carried out. Crossbite was corrected with near ideal position of upper teeth, which contributed to alignment and leveling of teeth, in addition to improving the patient's facial profile.
