Online published on 22 August, 2019. Abstract Aeronautic dentistry is superspecialized branch of dentistry that deals with the study of dental aspect in aeronautic environment. The presence of dental abscesses, periodontitis, deep carious lesions and deep unlined restorations in the oral cavity can stimulate severe pain due to extreme altitude changes. Retention of prosthesis based on atmospheric pressure, adhesion and gravity. This implies for both maxillary and mandibular dentures. Pressure changes occur in microtubules of the cement layer, which result in a reduced retention of the crown. With proper diagnosis, the various complications can be avoided. Dentists should consider using resin cement when they cement crowns and fixed partial dentures Prosthodontist must use great care in constructing, placing, and cementing prosthesis to avoid dislodgment and aspiration. This article provides a review about various prosthodontic complication related to aviation dentistry and important clinical considerations for their management.
