Abstract The present paper deals with 12 Ascomycetous fungi recorded from samples of dead and decayed mangrove wood, intertidal wood, driftwood and submerged wood. These included Eutypa bathurstensis, Verruculina enalia, Leptosphaeria australiensis, Salsuginea ramicola, Aniptodera chesapeakensis, Antennospora quadricornuta, Haiyanga salina, Arenariomyces, parvulus, Ceriosporopsis halima, Corollospora angusta, Corollospora filiformis and Corollospora gracilis.
