Abstract During present study, survey was carried out at rice fields of East Vidarbha region comprising of Gondia, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, and Chandrapur districts of Maharashtra state, from 2017 to 2019 during rabi (February - May) and kharif (July- November) seasons. In all 28 species of heteropteran bugs, belonging to 13 families and 25 genera were recorded. Family Pentatomidae was reported as dominant, consisting 10 species followed by Coreidae, Lygaeidae and Reduviidae with 3 species each, while Alydidae, Geocoridae, Pyrrhocoridae, Miridae, Gerridae, Hydrometridae, Notonectidae, Dinidoridae and Veliidae were recorded with single species.
