Abstract The present study was undertaken to study the effect of paraquat on rhizospheric mycoflora of Psoralea corylifolia. The rhizosphere colonies/gram of soil were 19, 10 and 6 due to the treatment with 100, 200 and 400 ppm concentrations of paraquat respectively, as against 52 colonies /gram from control or untreated soil. The rhizoplane mycoflora revealed 12, 9 and 7 colonies / gram respectively at these concentrations, against 15 colonies/gram in control.
