Online published on 26 March, 2024. Abstract The jaws and teeth of Piaractus brachypomus were in compress form with a terminal mouth. The snout was blunt in large individuals. The upper dentition consisted of a double row of molariform teeth in the upper jaw, plus two rows on the roof of the mouth.
