Abstract

Present study was undertaken in Umblebylu village to find out diversity of bird's species by point count, random walk survey and opportunistic methods. Total 132 bird species were recorded in varied habitats such as wetlands, forest edges, agricultural and residential areas. Maximum number of bird species were belonging to family Ardeidae. Order Passeriformes represented highest number (57) bird species The study area had 11% schedule-I, 66 % schedule-II and 23 % schedule-IV species representing their conservation status. The most of the bird species found were rare.
