Abstract Class room represents a human institution welded together by social relationships and functions through inter-personal communication. The environment in the class room provides opportunities for growth to students through interpersonal interactions and transactions. A study of the class room transactions help to reconstruct the existing notions of teaching learning process and supplement them with joyful and activity-based curriculum. Against this background the present paper examines the class room transactions in elementary schools across all districts of the state of Punjab and presents some recommendations for further intervention.
