Abstract Adolescence is a time of tremendous social, biological, psychological and intellectual changes standing at the immediate threshold of adulthood the adolescent's physical activity habits as well as health risk factors are more likely to track into older years. The biological drive for physical activity vanishes during adolescence at the same time increasing independence allows teenagers to manage their own lifestyle. Unfortunately, critical health behaviors emerge affecting future disease and psychological problems in adulthood in the present study, it was hypothesized that cardiovascular endurance, as a significant parameter of physical fitness would be strongly associated with academic achievement and adjustment level of adolescences. To test this, the present study was conducted on 250 adolescents samples from urban schools of Meerut city. Kenneth Cooper test and adjustment inventory was administered for measuring cardiovascular endurance and adjustment level respectively. The academic results of previous class were recorded for calculation of average academic achievement. The scores were subjected to Chi-Square analyses. It was found from statistical inference that cardiovascular endurance has a highly significant association with both academic achievement and adjustment level.
