Guidelines to the Authors
The Indian Journal of Agroforestry, a biannual journal, publishes scientific articles concerned with basic and applied research in the field of agroforestry, and management, conservation and improvement of woody species which have practical utility in biological, ecological and social sciences. The Journal accepts original research papers, review articles and short communications.
Submission of manuscript: Article to be submitted should be original and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. For online submission of manuscripts, authors should login to our website: www.isafcafri.co.in. The manuscript can also be E-mailed at drrajendra_prasad@ymail.com. However, for those who do not have access to internet facility, submission of hard copy is allowed. The hard copies of manuscripts should be submitted in duplicate to Editor-in-chief, Indian Journal of Agroforestry, ICAR-Central Agroforestry Research Institute, Near Pahuj Dam, Gwalior Road Jhansi- 284 003 (U.P.). At final acceptance, paper text on CD processed in MS word along with two final exactly matching printed version should be submitted together.
Preparation of manuscripts: Manuscripts should be clearly and precisely written in English. Manuscripts should not normally exceed 15 typed pages. Reviews should not exceed 24 pages. It should be type written on one side of the A4 paper with 2.5cm wide margins and double spacing throughout including abstract, footnotes, references, etc. Every page of the manuscript including references, tables, etc. should be numbered. Manuscripts should be organised in the following order:
Title : (clear, descriptive and not too long; limit to 15 to 20 words).
Name(s) of author(s): Complete postal address(es) of affiliation for correspondence including e-mail and Fax number.
Abstract: (brief and informative; presented as one block; 250 words).
Keywords : (Normally 3-6; words appeared in title should not be given).
Introduction: (should give relevant background information, reasons and aims of study).
Materials and Methods: (detail accounts of area, methods and techniques used).
Results and Discussion: (should indicate what was learned and how results relate to existing knowledge; must correspond to aims and methodologies of study).
Acknowledgments References: (limit to 20 in research paper; in review paper limit to 40).
Tables: (Large tables should be avoided; must find reference in text).
Figures: (should not duplicate data presented in table). Following system for arranging the references should be used in alphabetical order.

Abbreviate the titles of periodicals mentioned in the list of references according to the "International List of Periodical Title Word Abbreviations". Works accepted for publication but not yet published should be referred to as "in press". Metric measurements in SI units should be used. Good illustrations and black and white photographs are encouraged to bring clarity in scientific information.
In case of any dispute, Jhansi (India) shall be the place of jurisdiction for legal purpose
One of the authors must be the member of the Society.
