Abstract

The genetic diversity in a population consisting of 30 genetic stocks of finger millet from divre geogra-phical sources could be grouped in 13 clusters utilizing 12 characters by D2 and canonical analysis. EG 4840 and IE 28 were hjghly divergent from all other entries. Canonical analysis supported the divergence pattern obtained by D2 analysis. The clustering pattern of the strains usually did not follow the geographical origin
