Analysis of factors influencing sports career of badminton players of West Zone inter-university level

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the Jactors influencing sports career of est zone inlervarsity male and female badminton player. In all seven factors viz. superiority in game, practice. ability, financial backing, equipment and coaching, luck and the influence of high-ups, were nsidered as the most important influencing factors in the sports COl erofathlete. The present study was conducted on 40 male andlema e badminton players of west zone intervarsity. The data was coli ted during the west zone intervarsity badminton championship 007 being organized by Sardar Patel University, Anad (GUJRAT). The tool used for measuring the sport career was inventory of factors influencing sports career being developed by ML. Kamlesh and T.R. Sharma. The data collected was analyzed by using descript e statistics and "t test. The results of this study indicated that here was no significant difference found in Ability, practice, Gamesuperiority, High ups and financial backing between male and femal players of badminton of intervarsify level. However significant diffrence was found in fuck, equipment, coaching and over all factor, of inventory of sports career between male and female badminton plaers of intervarsity level.
