Abstract This study evaluates the relationship between social adjustment and life skills in students of high schools. The sample was selected randomly from 2 high school in Iran and comprised 132 (67 males and 65 females) students. They responded to the social adjustment scale and life skills inventory. Pearson's correlation and two independent samples T-test were used to analyse the data, and results have revealed that there is a significant positive correlation between life skills and social adjustment. In addition, it was found that the scores of females in social adjustment are significantly more than those of males, whereas there is no significant difference between the two genders in life skills.
