Abstract When women's empowerment has become a special interest of study of social scientists there arise a question like what are the knowledge levels of futurewomen in reality. This study deals with the knowledge score of urban and rural girls regarding legal rights. Also to find out standard of knowledge among school going and non-school going girls and relationship between age and knowledge score. The source of data is primary, acquired through purposive stratified sampling, from three urban and rural areas, by questionnaire-based field survey among school going and non-school going girls of age 10–18 years. Lastly, the results were tabulated and calculated, applying descriptive statistical tools.
