Author Guidelines

Submission of Manuscript

Manuscripts are subject to editorial review. The manuscript submitted for publication in IJVR is not under simultaneous consideration by any other journal. Accepted papers will become the property of IAAVR and may only be reproduced in the benefit of profession with permission of the Editor, IJVR. Arrangement of The Manuscript

Scope of the Journal:

The Indian Journal of Veterinary Research (IJVR) is a peer reviewed-Biannual Publication [Jan to June; July to December] each year.

  • Available online on IndianJournals.com.
  • The paper submitted in the IJVR is not simultaneously under consideration by the other journal.
  • The paper published will be having doi platform.
  • Published paper will be property of the IAAVR, however, may be reproduced for teaching and students research only.
  • The journal is open to all disciplines of veterinary science but the paper should possess a research component.

Copy Right: The Journal has got a copy right under Copy Right Act, 1957of India and the information contained in published paper will be responsibility of the author(s).

Types of Papers: Review, Mini Review, Letter to the Editor, Full length Research paper, short communications, News and Views, Obituary

The manuscript should be written in MS word in Times New Roman Font with 1.15 space between lines. Do not send PDF file.

Title of Manuscript: Title of the manuscript commensurates with text; no use of abbreviations in the title, authors name followed first, middle and last name, affiliations; Do not put superscripts showing designation of authors, Corresponding author E-mail

Abstract: Single paragraph (200 words) with single space 11 font Times Roman (The abstract should not be lengthy)

Key Words: Not more than 6 words in alphabetical manner

Introduction: The introduction should include current knowledge on the subject, the purpose and novelty of the study, should not be crowded with literature review.

Materials and Methods: This section should be well described so that procedure and material can be used to repeat the experiment. In bracket, name of rims, equipments model/make, specific reference for antibodies plasmids, genes be mentioned. Mention approval of CCSEA/IAEC in case of animal experimentation.

Do not prefer to write “slight modification”, explain in explicit manner what modification from a standard reference were made in the study.

Statistical Analysis: The text should include statistical analysis wherever required for the analysis of data.

Nomenclature, Abbreviations, Numerical Data: The international system of units (S) be used. Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions – in particular those from IUPAC and IUPAP, but also the Enzyme Commission where applicable.

Tables: Keep minimum number (arabic numerals) of Tables with title of Table. Mention No of Tables in the text at appropriate place.

Graphs: (Arabical numbered) Legend of the graph and number. Mention No. of Graph as Fig in the text.

Figures: Number figures (400 d.p.i.), line diagram (600 d.p.i.) and provide a legend to the Figure. Mention number of Fig in the text.

Results: Data essentialfor understanding of the discussion and main colcusion emerging from the work should be described. Reproduction of results be avoided in discussion. Results should align with headings of the Material and Methods, main heading with subheadings, Use either Table or graph but not both for the same data.

Discussion: Long and ambiguous discussion should be scrupulously avoided. Results should not be duplicated in the discussion. The results should be discussed with contemporary literature to derive conclusions of the study. If appropriate combine Results and Discussion. Vague words and inconclusive statements be avoided.

Acknowledgements: Should be short and sepcific. Include your colleagues who helped in the study, or in preparation of the manuscript, funding agency, organization that facilitated the work.
