Abstract This paper review the role of Knowledge Management in the changing scenario of libraries where information is growing at a very fast rate and no one is capable of holding all the flooded information available in the market. So, Knowledge Management help the users in this new environment where they demand more sophisticated services not only print material but also e-resources such as e-books, e-journals etc. In order to fulfill these demands libraries holds the material in a systematic manner with the help of Knowledge Management tools. In this way Knowledge Management provides an efficient interface to the users and librarian. Libraries are the recourse managers because it holds a large verity of knowledge in different forms like printed as well as electronic. These also manage the resources, which are collected in it so these are also called as the resource managers. Today libraries work with the computer and information technology centers, so these are capable to provide best services to the users through information technology. Libraries ultimate goal is to provide the best and useful information to the users at right time, at right place so knowledge management help the libraries to fulfill its goal.
