The mammary edema was recorded as 50 percent in heifers, 28.57 percent in second lactation, 14.28 percent in third lactation and 7.14 percent in fourth lactation with varied intensition. The animals were treated with Flunixin and Acetazolamide along with supportive therapy. Out of fourteen animals, twelve responded well and returned to normalcy within 7 days while one with severe condition and edema extending up to belly took 15 days to recover. Unfortunately, one cattle that was severely affected collapsed. It was recorded that incidence of udder edema were more during the post-parturient period than pre parturient animals.
