Abstract The study recorded the clinical signs and isolation of P.multocida from suspected blood samples of Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (HS) affected buffaloes from field outbreaks. All blood samples/isolates were tested directly from the culture. Out of twenty six samples, only three could be grown on blood agar plate. A total of three samples were identified as Pasteurella multocida on the basis of cultural characterstics and biochemical tests. Bacteria also showed characteristic bipolar staining with Gram's stain. Top Keywords Buffalo, biochemical, haemorrhagic septicaemia, Pasteurella multocida. Top |
