Surgical Retrieval of Sewing Needle from Thoracic Wall Abscess in Murrah buffaloes

Abstract

The study describes successful surgical retrieval of penetrating metallic foreign body (sewing needle) from thoracic wall abscess in three adult female Murrah buffaloes. The condition was diagnosed based on history, clinical examination, radiography and ultrasonography. The foreign body was located along the lateral aspect of thoraco-abdominal wall behind the elbow or at sternum.
