Abstract

A dog was presented with history of limping and partial bearing of weight on the left hind leg since last twenty days. On orthopaedic and neurological examination of both hind legs, no evidence of fracture or neurological problem was noticed. Animal evinced pain on palpating the left stifle joint and positive for the cranial drawer sign test and anterior tibial thrust which was suggestive of cranial cruciate ligament rupture. Surgical correction using modified retinacular imbrication technique (MRIT) was performed for better joint stabilisation.
