Abstract

The communication focuses on hypothyroidism in an adult female labrador dog with typical clinical signs of obesity, lethargy, rat tailed appearance, dry and lusterless hair coat etc. Diagnosis was based on detailed clinical and laboratory examination of total thyroxine, triiodothyronine, thyrotropin (TSH) and associated secondary changes with blood glucose and cholesterol levels. The dog was successful managed with Levothyroxine and dietary changes.
