Online Published on 23 January, 2023. Abstract Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is a devastating viral disease characterized by chronic debility, reduced milk production, poor growth, infertility, abortion and sometimes death in cattle. Being a viral infection, no established therapy is available and alternative palliative measures are practised. The conventional treatment is costly and recovery takes long time. A nutritional approach with glycerol mono laurate coated nano zinc powder in 56 cows was evaluated. The results established the superiority of nutritional nano formulation over conventional therapy.
