Abstract In volleyball studies biomechanical research has focused on various aspects including approach techniques, hitting, and landing, differences in play between the sexes and the characteristics of players at different skill level. Analysis of spiking is totally new study. The purpose of this study is to analysis the techniques of spiking action of counter and quick spikers in volleyball from bio-mechanically point of view. Four university players participated in this study. Digital video camera was used to collect the spiking motion. Motion-pro system was used to analyze the kinematic variables. The results indicate that there is differ between counter and quick spiker at some variables but at same time there is no difference at some other variables. This study provides information for coaches in teaching volleyball spike. Top Keywords Kinematical, Bio-mechanics, Spiking, volleyball, Motion-pro, Counter spiker. Top |
