Lived religion of Youth: A sociological study Kumar Vivek Research Scholar, Department of Sociology, Banaras Hindu University Online published on 11 July, 2018. Abstract This is called as God's Century. It has been since demise of the cold war when question of identity issues of genealogy of ethnicity are taking precedence over primary economic structure. It doesn't mean economic structures have become unimportant, but discourse rests on identity, politics of identity, market rational and new social movement of youth and environment across the boundaries. It is in this context present article tries to understand youth and lived religion in their everyday life or experiences. The purpose of this article is to show how a focus on youth in a multicultural, multi-polar, diverse Indian society can contribute with insight on the religious practices of youth. The lived religion perspective will help in analyzing and understanding how youth make sense of religion and how they re-orient the religious practices.
