Abstract

Journal of Communication Studies is an official referred journal for the publication of scholarly works in the field of development communication. It is published tri annually and interdisciplinary in nature. The present content analysis is based on 526 articles published during study period of ten years 2007–2016. The study focus to access the year wise distribution of paper, authorship pattern, total number of citations, country wise and state wise distribution of publication. Out of 526 papers maximum numbers of papers (13.3%) were published in the year 2011 and minimum in the year 2007(4.75%). The maximum number of 271 papers (51.42%) have occupied a length of 6–10 pages. The collaboration of three authors contributed maximum of 225 papers (42.77%) to the journal. The highest number of citations 378 (71.86%) were in the category of 0–10 citations and highest number of 520 citations (15.78%) were found in the year 2015. It is revealed that India is the maximum contributing country and Uttar Pradesh is the leading state contributing to the journal.
