Abstract This paper deals with the analysis of the 2505 Contributions of the journal entitled "The Journal of Extension (JOE)" published during 2008–2017. It examines year wise, document wise distribution of contribution, authorship pattern, Citation analysis, geographical distributions etc. The data for the study was collected from Scopus. The result shows that there are total 2505 publications published in the Journal of Extension (JOE) during the year 2008–2017. The year 2013 has the highest number of 348 (13.89%) publications. The average research outputs in Journal of Extension are 250.5 articles per year. The author Harder, A has contributed 32 articles with 95 citations, and occupied first rank. It is deduced from the study that authors are more interested in contributing journal articles than any other category. There is 2303 (91.93%) publications fall under the category of articles. It has been identified that the highest contributions is from United States with 2065(88.93%) publications.
