Abstract

The results showed that the maximum reduction over control in insect population (84.10%) and damage percentage (76.00%) was caused by neem leaf followed by Calotropis leaf (70.95% and 60.17%) respectively. Whereas bael leaves demonstrated the least impact on insect population and damage, with reduction over control of 13.30% and 13.66%, respectively. Neem, calotropis and annona leaf extracts displayed potential as effective botanical insecticides against the pulse beetle.
